Major Automaker Is Adding 3,000 Jobs in the USA
American automotive giant General Motors (GM) announced plans to fill 3,000 jobs in America during the first three months of 2021. Hiring will focus primarily on software development and engineering in order to conduct research, development and distribution of electric vehicles. General Motors announced earlier in 2020 that it will be investing $20 billion over the next five years for autonomous and electric vehicles. The vice-president for GM's autonomous and electric vehicle programs said that the automaker is "looking forward to working with the Biden Administration" to promote the use of electric vehicles across America.
